Shabbat Party

Every Friday, we celebrate Shabbat with a special Shabbat program and party in each classroom. This is something the children truly look forward to. A parent from each class sponsors the party. The sponsoring parent provides the grape juice, a special snack, and a treat to go home in their Shabbos bag. Your child will be the Ima or Abba on that Friday. They can’t wait for the special privilege!

Flower Arrangements

As part of the Montessori curriculum, students arrange flowers provided by families every week. Flower arranging helps children exercise motor skills (pouring water into a funnel, using scissors to cut the stems of the flowers, inserting stems into the vase with care), build a sense of symmetry, practice decision-making, and develop voluntary movement.

Mystery Reader

Our mystery reader program happens once a week for primary-age classrooms. The week's mystery reader starts with their camera off on a zoom call, provides three clues about themselves, and the children guess who it could be. From there, the guest turns on the camera to surprise their loved one in the room. The guest is then asked to read a book or give a presentation for the class. We have had guests from all over the world teaching the children about their country, their language, etc. We encourage extended family members and family friends to participate!
